Fortinet's VPN is very secure (but do make sure your Fortigate is on the latest firmware as there have been recent SSL VPN vulnerabilities that have been resolved) and I would not worry about using it (I use it myself too in our own work environment). If not this software, it still applies to any remote helpdesk type software you can employ.
